The vet should sedate the kitty as soon as possible in those cases. Sometimes it's possible to sedate the cat while it's in the carrier with the owner holding it. We had a cat like that. She was sweet as can be at home, but at the vet's office .... oh my. I know all about this.

a primary in a single district isn't going to be very well polled. I doubt its possible to see a 40pt gap or even a 10pt gap between polled numbers and reality on a national scale. But I agree with your main point that we should be wary of polls.
